Standby Cover Security arranges temporary and replacement guarding for buildings in central London. If your regular operative is unavailable, or you need cover for a defined period, send your requirements and estimated shift cost together on WhatsApp.

Indicative base rate: £30–£34 per operative/hour. No VAT charged.

Cover shaped around the premises

Assignments may include agreed access-control duties, reception-area security and a visible guarding presence at commercial or managed premises. The duties, site risks and handover arrangements are reviewed before acceptance.

What we need to arrange the shift

Site address, postcode, start and end dates, and number of operatives.
A responsible site contact, assignment instructions and reporting requirements.
Relevant access arrangements, risks, lone-working considerations and emergency procedures.

Do not put access codes, alarm codes or sensitive information in an initial enquiry. These details should be shared securely after the assignment is agreed.

Central London coverage

Our core estimate area includes W1, WC1–WC2, EC1–EC4, SW1, SE1 and N1 postcode districts. This covers locations including Mayfair, Soho, Covent Garden, Holborn, Westminster, the City, South Bank and Hoxton. Postcodes outside this area receive an individual coverage review.

Clear pricing before commitment

A four-hour minimum applies per operative. Night, weekend and bank-holiday premiums depend on the actual hours worked; the highest applicable time premium applies to each hour. Short-notice fees are listed separately. Read the full pricing rules.

Availability is confirmed personally

The estimate does not reserve staff or guarantee an arrival time. Long shifts, specialist duties and requests for three or more operatives need an individual review. We confirm an appropriate licence, assignment suitability and a fixed price before deployment.
